Aug 2009 -- helo i advertise with your website, and it´s the second time i have a scammer on my back, so , please alert all advertiser. Alfredo zecoli , alias Claude bouillet ( email : alfredo zecoli pretends to rent a place for a long period of time, transfers more money than we require but wants us to pay some kind of a tax, it´s a scam guaranty!!! his IP changes now from cote d´Ivoire to france, depends on the day
"I have also had recently a few emails recently from someone trying to book honeymooners into four rooms from abroad which also sounded not quite right and also a David Grant wanting to book his clients into rooms, again a foreign sound to the email. They have all wanted to pay by credit card and presumably because most small businesses will not take cards will ask to transfer money into bank details." 25 Oct 2007
"I have been receiving a large amount of suspicious emails and noted they were connected to your site including the one you mention today.
I was about to email you to ask you to remove my property from your site and have tried to remove my details this morning.
Many of my emails have been from a David Blunt and they all request long term accommodation. Then they send a cheque for an over payment and say it is to be sent to travel agents for their clients air fair.
What happens then is when you pay the fraudulent cheque into your account they then change their minds and ask for the money return.
I received a stolen cheque only yesterday for £3500.
Also there have been many emails requesting online bank details.
It would be good to have warnings on such sites as your own to deter these criminals from targeting holiday property owners in the first place." 25 Oct 2007
"I too have been receiving requests from a Pastor Katharine Low. She says she is coming here to a conference and wants to book my cottage for 2 weeks. She says a cheque would be sent to me to cover rental plus overpayment. The remainder to be paid into the Western Union Bank. I have answered her and refused this booking as it is obviously a scam." 28 Oct 2007

"Have received a few emails in the last couple of days that read a little strange. One from a kent Williams, email: kent_wils@yahoo.com and 2 from an Alvin Baird, emails: bairdalvin_11@msn.com and bairdalvin1@yahoo.co.uk. The Alvin Baird ones are scams for sure, he wanted to pay 3000€ part payment for accommodation for 6 people for 14 nights and 8100€ overpayment to be forwarded on to a hire logistics company."
