Property Overview: VILLA DESCRIPTION The villa is located in the village of Pinar De Campoverde, Alicante on the Costa Blanca and is ideal for anyone seeking a relaxing family holiday. For those interested in playing golf the villa is in easy reach of several golf courses with the nearest being only 2 minutes driving away. The villa has 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people, 2 bathrooms, 1Large lounge, and fully fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, washing machine, rooftop solarium, and small private pool. Cable TV included The villa has a terrace at the front and large rear gardens, chairs, tables and a large parasol for outside dining. Also available are a number of sun loungers and extra parasols. The nearest bars/restaurants are 5 minutes walking distance and the nearest supermarket is about a 5 minute drive. The nearest beach is 5 minutes driving. Bookings are generally on a weekly or fortnightly basis. This can be flexible, if for example you wanted a ten-day stay we will be happy to try and accommodate you. The changeover day is Saturdays The nearest airport is Murcia ( San Javier ), which is around 15 minute drive, or Alicante which is around 50 minute drive. Full Description: CAMPOVERDE CAMPOVERDE IS A QUIET VILLAGE SITUATED ON THE COSTA BLANCA. IT IS NOT A PLACE TO GO FOR THOSE SEEKING IBIZA STYLE ENTERTAINMENT. THE VILLAGE HAS A SELECTION OF BARS SPANISH, IRISH, AND ENGLISH ETC WITH SOME LIVE ENTERTAINMENT. RESTAURANTS INCLUDE, SPANISH, CHINESE, AND ENGLISH. SHOPS IN THE VILLAGE INCLUDE A CHEMIST AND NEWSAGENT, TWO BANKS, AND A SUPERMARKET WHERE YOU CAN BUY ENGLISH PRODUCTS AS THE SHOP IS AFFILIATED TO TESCO’S SEVERAL GIFT SHOPS AND VARIOUS OTHER SHOPS SUPPLYING MORE OR LESS EVERYTHING YOU WILL NEED. THE RESIDENTS ARE MAINLY SPANISH, ALTHOUGH THERE IS QUITE A LARGE BRITISH COMMUNITY. THERE ARE TWO COMMUNUAL POOLS IN THE VILLAGE. ONE OF THESE IS SITUATED IN THE VILLAGE CENTER AND CAN BE QUITE POPULATED DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. THE OTHER POOL IS SLIGHTLY HIDDEN AWAY ON THE EDGE OF THE VILLAGE AND TENDS TO BE ONLY POPULATED BY A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE. THE POOLS ARE ONLY OPEN DURING THE SPANISH SCHOOL HOLIDAYS FROM MID JUNE UNTIL MID SEPTEMBER. IT COSTS ABOUT Â £1.00 A DAY TO USE THE POOL AND YOU CAN COME AND GO AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE. THE NEAREST TOWN IS PILAR DE LA HORADADA WHICH IS A FIVE MINUTE DRIVE AWAY. IT IS A TYPICAL SPANISH TOWN WHERE YOU WILL FIND A GOOD SELECTION OF SUPERMARKETS, SHOPS, BARS, RESTURANTS,PLUS A TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER. HERE YOU WILL ALSO FIND A LARGE BLUE FLAG BEACH WHICH HAS SOME WATERSPORTS AND BEACH BARS. A FEW MINUTES OUT OF PILAR DE LA HORADADA YOU WILL FIND SEVERAL MORE EXCELLENT BEACHES ( NEARLY ALL BLUE FLAG) AND TOURIST AREAS PROVIDING BARS , RESTURANTS AND SHOPPING AREAS. FOR THOSE SEEKING MORE LIVELY ENTERTAINMENT THEN YOU WILL NEED TO HEAD TOWARDS THE AREAS OF CABO ROIG AND TORREVIEJA ( 20 MINS DRIVING ) WHERE THERE ARE PLENTY OF BARS, RESTURANTS AND NIGHTCLUBS. Nearby Attractions: Pinar de Campoverde
is an established Spanish village set on a wooded hillside, 8 kms inland with views to the Mediterranean. It is less crowded than the more developed areas towards Torrevieja, with mainly large detached homes and year-round residents, many of who are British or German.
The centre of Campoverde is a short walk and has several bars, restaurants, supermarket, bank etc. There is a small street market on Sunday mornings. On the other side of the village is the famous Natural Area “Rio Seca” where you can walk along the (usually dry!) bed of the river, which has carved a spectacular gorge. Near Rio Seca there is also a new 20,000m2 sports area with several tennis courts, basketball, football and a large public swimming pool.
The nearest town is Pilar de la Horadada, where you can join the new A-37 Alicante-Cartegena Autoroute or access the beaches of the Mediterranean. There are about 4kms of sandy beaches stretching from El Mojon to Mil Palmeras, including a small, pretty cove at Torre de la Horadada where there is also a Marina. This is a 10 minute drive from the villa.
