1 bedroom Chalet. Set in trees with 2 streams, with outstanding views. Very quiet and private ideal as a Honeymoon retreat. Perfectly placed for walking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, tennis, swimming and spas all on the doorstep. Also winter sports, Skiing, Snowboarding and Cross country.

Idyllic, peaceful and secluded one bedroom Chalet. Stuning views. Very quite and private, yet only 15 minutes drive from Bars, Shops, Supermarkets and restaurants. Ideal getaway location. Perfectly placed for walking, cycling, skiing/boarding or climbing. Ideal for young families and a cot is provided.

Near to where the Queen visited in September 2008. Close to the Lipica Stud Farm. Also close to where they filmed the new Narnia chronicles film.


Short transfer times from a choice of airports with Easy Jet,Adria and Ryanair. English Owners live 30 minutes away and can give valuable advise on all aspects of your visit.

We can often pick you up and drop you off at your airport.

Sleeps 2/4 people. Open plan large bedroom with wonderful views. Comfortable double bed. Main floor has large sofa bed, television with DVD player and a good library of films. A cot is also provided and the chalet is ideal for new parents. Music system with CD player and iPod input. Games compendium, and a selection of English books. Galley style kitchen and breakfast bar. Microwave oven and full cooker with hobs and oven. Modern bathroom with bath / shower and toilet. Please note the stairs are typically Slovenian Chalet style, and are quite steep

The cosy lounge has large sofa bed, television with DVD player and a good library of films. Music system with CD player and iPod input. Games compendium, and a selection of English books. Galley style kitchen and breakfast bar. Microwave oven and full cooker with hobs and oven. Beautiful tiled balcony with table and chairs. Modern bathroom with bath/shower, wash basin and toilet.

Large storeroom under, with washer dryer. Space for storing and drying clothes. Ski and Board storage. Hair dryer and mirror. Two mountain bikes are available (at user own risk) Additional bikes can be provided on request.

Outside bar-b-que area with traditional Kamin style cooking fire. Also a fixed table and seat. Wood is plentiful and some will be provided, along with cooking utensils and fire starters. There is an outside light for evening use.

Despite having all these cooking facilities, it is easy not to use them at all as there are so many good eating places within easy reach. It is often cheaper to eat out and the selection is large, and the quality very high. English Owners live 30 minutes away and can give valuable advice on restaurants and bars, as well as sightseeing, skiing etc.

Travel is easy, the Chalet is situated equidistant between Lubliana and Maribor. Easy Jet and Addria fly to Lubliana and RyanAir fly to Graz and Klagenfurt in Austria. All within easy travel distance. Hire cars are available at all airports from the major hirers, Hertz, Avis etc. Local hire cars can be provided from a local garage at very reasonable cost.

The local supermarket in Prebold is 10 minutes drive away. It is a modern well equipped shop similar to Sainsbury's or Tescos. Nearly everything you need can be bought here, It stocks everything you get in a British store (except Marmite!)and at very reasonable prices. Fresh fish, meat and bread are all available.

Bars

There are several bars and coffee shops close to the supermarket. A list of popular places are kept at the Chalet.

Restaurants

There are many restaurants within a short drive. These include French, Chinese, Italian and Traditional Slovenian. Sorry, the nearest Indian is in Maribor about 45 minutes away!

Cinema

There is a multi screen cinema in Celia about 30 minutes away. They show films mainly in English with Slovenian Subtitles. Prices are very reasonable.

Bowling and Pool

There is a multi lane bowling alley, and plentiful pool and snooker tables in the cinema complex.

The chalet is on a cycle path which forms part of a large cycle network. There is extensive walking and cycling for all levels in the immediate area. From strolling to hill walks. From a quick spin to some aggressive up and downhill trips, right on the doorstep. You can walk straight onto the mountains and from there, up to the stunning church of St. Kriss, which visible from the chalet.

The local slope is Golte, and gives ample sking and boarding for most levels of ability. Takes 30 mins to drive door to door. A large gondola takes you up to the beautiful ski area, which is a nature park in the summer. Rogla, Kamnik, and Maribor are all an hours drive away and offer lots of variety for all levels of abilitys.

There are several climb sites within 10 minutes drive. They are very popular at weekends with local people.
The best known climbing wall in Slovenia – Koteenik - is only 8 Kms away, the Reška climbing wall is also close.

Slovenia has many magnificent caves, there is one right on the doorstep. "Hells Caves" are just past Sempeter, with a subterranean waterfall. The tour takes 1hr 30mins. See www.td-sempeter.si 

The world famous Postojna caves are on the way to the coast, 1hr 30 away. An indoor train takes you to the depths of the Karst. You can see the "Proteus" the human fish, which can live for 100 years underground. A short drive from here to the coast.

Slovenia has only 47kms of coastline, but its very special because it is so small. There are several Italiannate towns with views over the Adriatic. Piran, an old fishing port, or Isola are perfect for sea food and drinks by the harbours. Portoroz has designer shops and a Casino..
