Full Description: Our 17th-century stone house, lying on a hill-side, has been newly restored in respect of the ancient architectural characteristics and materials. The guest apartment is on the ground level of the house, and consists of a king-size bedroom, a living room with a twin sofa-bed, dining room, kitchen (with oven, fridge and washing-machine), and bathroom with shower. Sleeps a maximum of 4 people. The rooms, which in ancient times were animal stables, have been beautifully restaured preserving many original details, such as the old manger in the bedroom. The furniture is comfortable with old peasant pieces and some antique and oriental pieces.
A wide stone terrace (furnished with tables, chairs, deck-chairs and sun-umbrella) offers a wide view facing directly the surrounding hills, and represents the ideal setting for sun-bathing, eating, or just relaxing!
Linens and towels are provided, as well as cookingware. Independent central heating. Children-friendly and pet-friendly. Smoking allowed only outside the house. The access to the house is through a 900-meter driving lane among the woods. There is a parking area. English-speaking owners.
Nearby Attractions: The countryhouse is located strategically near the border between Tuscany and Umbria, in the heart of the Italian countryside between Cortona (19 Km), Città di Castello (25 Km), and the Trasimeno lake (33 Km). The house is amidst peaceful hills in a 15-hectares private property, consisting of oak woods, olive trees and meadows, run through by walking trails. Peace and quiet are guaranteed; but at the same time the beautiful art cities of Cortona or Città di Castello are only a half-an-hour drive away; Perugia, Gubbio, Arezzo and Sansepolcro (birthplace of Piero della Francesca) about forty-five minutes away. The nearest village is at 4 Km, and offers a drugstore, a pizzeria, two restaurants, two bars, a swimming-pool and a post office; a horse-riding facility is at 6 Km, and various restaurants, shops and supermarkets at 10 Km.
Tai Chi Chuan course and Holistic training available on site upon request. Lessons are English-spoken and paid as an extra.
