Property Overview: Peaceful tranquility is offered in this cave house, which is nestled amongst the mountains. A holiday with a difference. It is situated in a rural village which is totally unspoilt by man or machine. The cave is spacious, roomy and has loads of natural light. Up to 7 people can be accommodated as the cave has 3 bedrooms, 2 sitting rooms, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. There is a private courtyard, with outside furniture and private parking also. In summer temperatures of up to 50 degrees the cave is cool and in winter it is warm as it stays a current temperature of 17 degrees all year round. Lie in bed in the morning and listen to the mules trotting by on the road above your head. The cave is nestled beneath the castle ruins on a single track road. The nearest shop is only 2 minutes away. Full Description: 1 Hour from Granada airport, 1 and half hours Almeria, 2 hours Murcia and 3 and half hours Alicante and Malaga. A car is essential if only to get from the airport. There is so much to see and do, a week is not enough. Remember Andalucia offers over 300 days of sunshine and this area is no different. There is a 13 kilometre lake only 10 minutes drive away where you can swim, fish, hire a pedaloe or just paddle or sit in the sunshine. There are a number of very good restaurants all the way round this lake and lots of little areas where you can be on your own if you wish. Even in the middle of the summer season it is never packed like some Spanish beaches. There is even a naturist beach if that is your inclination. The ancient city of Guadix is 25 minutes along the autovia, archealogical sites are many and close. Nearby Attractions: Andalucia is host to many ancient cities, towns and villages all with fantastic buildings. There are numerous fiestas and fares all year round and nearly every village town and city has a weekly market. Wander round the cobbled streets of Baza, the nearest town only 20 minutes away, site see then have a leisurely lunch in one of the many cafe/bars. There is a large market on Wednesdays to visit where you can buy almost anything then end your day browsing the many colourful shops which offer so much. Not very touristy this town is like a normal market town. Guadix, 25 minutes away has a market on Saturday, again it is large and colourful. There is a wonderful cathedral here and many musuems including a cave museum. Granada is a day out in itself, with the Alhambra Palace, Science Museum and much more. Also visit the arab quarters and the old palaces.
