Info: L’Oustal du Viaur comprises of 2 interconnecting Gites (2 and 3 bedrooms) sharing a large (12 x 6m) pool. This beautifully restored former farmhouse complex is set in outstanding scenery overlooking the Viaur Gorge. The site offers traditional architecture whilst providing all modern comforts. Please note the grounds and pool are shared with resident UK owners.
There are two modern, comfortable bathrooms and two high speck shower rooms, two fully fitted kitchens and lounges. There are 2 bedrooms in Tournesol wing and 3 bedrooms in Coquelicot wing. They have large rooms and sleeping arrangements can easily be adjusted to suit the needs of the party group. All bedrooms are large enough to work as doubles or twins with space for cot and one of the rooms in each wing can be used as triples. Both wings have their own private eating area and there are picnic tables in the grounds giving scope for further outside dining. The large 12m by 6m pool means there is plenty of space for family fun and a serious swim and the two children's play areas keep the children occupied for hours. Both wings can be booked independently (please request costs), but are best hired together as an ideal set up for 2/3 families sharing.
Tournesol wing is entered via a private patio area which has a table and seating for 6. A BBQ is provided and a sun canopy with outside lighting ensuring the perfect ambience for al fresco dining. Views from this patio are stunning and stretch for miles over the surrounding area. Through the front door you enter the large kitchen diner. The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with separate freezer and fridge, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and gas hob with extractor. It is fully stocked to enable full cooking facilities including over work-top lighting.
Through the kitchen is the salon providing a lovely cool area to relax with ample seating for 6, Satellite TV, DVD + video player. Just off the salon is the hydro-wet room + WC, providing a new experience in bathing and relaxation. Up the restored chestnut staircase leading from the kitchen you reach the two large bedrooms and family bathroom. The large master bedroom is full of character and offers a relaxing calm environment.
Coquelicot wing is entered via a private patio area which has a table and seating for 6. An outside staircase leads to a balcony perfect for a quiet read. Through the front door you enter the large kitchen diner. The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with a large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven with extractor. It is fully stocked to enable full cooking facilities including over work-top lighting. Open stonework and beams combine with the oak dining table and chairs to provide a wonderful setting. Through the kitchen is a shower room + wc and a downstairs bedroom. On the second floor is a large sitting-room with Satellite TV, DVD + video, leading through to a second bedroom. Off a small landing a third story provides a romantic master bedroom and large family bathroom up in the eaves.
The complex is suitable for all parties, but is especially suited to families, with cots, highchairs, plastic wear, kiddies toilet seats, toys, books, bikes and even pet rabbits provided free of charge. It is a very safe site with stairgates inside and a pool security fence and we have lots of additional facilities to make it home from home. Both wings are fitted with log burners and are suitable for out of season lets. Washing machine and ironing facilities are located in shared laundry for the site.
There are two play areas on site, one for toddlers the other for 6+. There are picnic tables on site which provide additonal seating to admire the views.
